1.
Apologies
for absence were received from Michaela Butler, Colin
Crabtree and Jenny Hill.
2.
Minutes
of
the previous AGM were accepted as a true record and there
were no matters arising. Proposed
by Elaine Brock seconded by Vicky
Ward and accepted unanimously.
3.
The
Musical
Director said he had nothing to say as the item he wished to
discuss was coming up later in the
meeting.
4.
The
Librarian
reported that one new piece had been added to our stock, the new Healy
Willan.
More purchases were envisaged during the course of
next year.
5.
The
Membership Secretary reported that he had been extremely busy
with his studies and was not really
sure about the statistics of how
many
had joined or left. However, he had
managed to greet every new member
and it was agreed that he had done
this part of the job very well.
6.
The
Attendance Secretary=s Report showed a reduction in
attendance
from last year. Susie pointed out
that some of it may be due to the
special
practices only for those going to
venues e.g. Newport and Tim telling
members of Heritage Masterworks
that they did not need to come to the
Heritage Singers practice which
followed a Heritage Masterworks one.
7.
Acceptance
of the Financial Report was proposed by Susie and seconded
by Lee with unanimous approval. Ken
made some observations following
his examination relating to
differences between this and last year in
receipts and expenditure. As we
were now in a position to do so, it
was
agreed to pay back the
£5000.00 loan from 2003. A vote of thanks was
given to Julie for all her work as
Treasurer. It was also agreed
unanimously
that Ken Keeping and Joanne Shaw
were to examine the accounts for the
choir, next year 2010.

9.
Mike

brought up the topic of neckers for the men and was asked to purchase
white neckers
for them, ensuring they were large enough to allow people to sing.
10.
Sue
Wanty
was thanked for all her work and effort accompanying at rehearsals and
concerts.
11.
Proposed
Events were discussed and agreed up to September 2010. People were
asked to put
them in their diaries as the past year had been particularly difficult
with events
seeming to have few people attending and the possibility of having a
part missing
completely. Despite this, it was noted that members have a keen sense
of commitment
to the choir and a strong feeling of belonging to something good and
worth-while.
12.
The
meeting
closed at 8.20 pm.
